Who I am

Reading Remedy is run by Nicola Johnson, based in Stoke-on-Trent. I am responsible for any personal information collected through this website. You can contact me about this notice at info@readingremedy.co.uk.

What I collect

When you send an enquiry through the contact form, I receive your name, your school's name, your email address and, if you choose to add them, your role and any notes about your school's reading priorities. If you email me directly, I receive the details you share.

Please don't include information about individual pupils in the contact form.

How I use it

I use these details only to respond to your enquiry and, if your school goes ahead, to arrange and deliver the programme. The lawful basis is legitimate interests (replying to an enquiry you have made) and, where a booking follows, taking steps towards a contract. I do not send marketing emails or share your details with anyone for their own use.

Who else handles it

The website is hosted by Netlify, which also receives and stores contact form submissions on my behalf. Netlify is based in the United States; transfers are covered by recognised UK safeguards. Enquiries are forwarded to my email inbox. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google when a page loads.

Cookies and visitor statistics

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. I may collect basic, anonymous visitor statistics (such as page views) using a cookie-free tool that does not identify you.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiries for up to 12 months after our last contact, unless your school books the programme, in which case I keep the records needed for that booking for as long as required for accounting purposes.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it, by emailing info@readingremedy.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
